TearCare

Tear Care is a FDA approved, flexible, single use, open-eye in office treatment designed to target the meibomian glands causing your evaporative dry eye. A majority of patients who suffer from dry eye syndrome have an underlying clogging of their meibomian glands (the oil glands in your lids) which are responsible for keeping tears on your eye. This 15 minute treatment gently adheres to your eyelids, while simultaneously applying low heat. This, in conjunction with blinking during the treatment, will help facilitate the expression of this clogged oil. Typically this treatment is repeated every 6 months to a year to maintain regular anatomical function, in addition to other at home therapies.
